How to Write Google Adsense Ads

Set Up Your AdWords Account

Choose Your Campaign Settings

Step 1

Click the drop-down menu labeled "Load Settings" in the campaign settings page and select the campaign type. Here you can choose to display ads in Google search results, websites, both or mobile apps.

Step 2

Type a name for your ad campaign under the "General" section of the campaign settings page. This will not be displayed to Web users and is only for your future reference.

Step 3

Click one of the options in the "Countries and Languages" section to select the whole world, the United States and Canada, just the United States or any other location you want your ad campaign target.

Step 4

Click an option in the "Networks and Devices" section to select the device types you want your ad campaign to appear on. Here you can choose from desktops, laptops, mobile devices, tablets or any combination of these. You can also choose to target only certain operating systems or mobile phone carriers.

Step 5

Click "I'll Manually Set My Bids and Budgets" in the "Bidding and Budget" section of the campaign setup page if you want more control over your budget and ad display frequency. Select "AdWords Will Set My Bids to Help Maximize Clicks Within My Target Budget" if you are new to AdWords.

Step 6

Type a currency amount in the field labeled "Budget" to set the amount per day you are willing to bid on daily ads. The actual daily spend may be up to 20% more than what you set as your daily bid.

Step 7

Click any check boxes in the "Ad Extensions" category if you want to add extra information and functionality to your ads. Here you can opt to show a location, extra website link, phone number, Google+ page associated with your company or a link to any mobile app.
Step 8
Click the "Save and continue" button at the bottom of the page to save all of the data you entered. This displays the campaign management page for your ad.

Launch Your Campaign

Step 1

Type a headline, first description line, second description line, a display URL and a destination URL in the "Create an Ad" section of the campaign management page. These are the items your target audience will see. The destination URL can be different from the display URL.

Step 2

Type ten to twenty keywords in the "Keywords" section of the campaign management page. Keywords can contain up to three words each and must be entered on separate lines. Google will try to display your ad to people who search those keywords.

Step 3

Click the "Save and Continue to Billing" button at the bottom of the page to enter your billing information. The payment source you enter here will be debited each time your ad is clicked or displayed.

Tips

·         You can start, end or edit your ad campaign at any time by visiting adwords.google.com and signing in with the same username and password you used to create the AdWords account.
